Our Commitment

Sol Food is a small, family-run business, and we want everyone to be able to shop with us, read about our mixes and find our recipes, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, magnification or other assistive technology. We put a strong focus on accessibility, and we keep improving the site as we learn.

The Standard We Use

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium, as our guide when we design, build and update this website.

What We Have Done

  • Built the site with clear page structure, headings and labels so it works with screen readers.
  • Made the site usable with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a link to skip straight to the main content.
  • Added text descriptions to our images.
  • Labeled every form field.
  • Respected your device's reduced motion setting by stopping most animations.
  • Added pause and play buttons to our looping video and our scrolling text banners.
  • Designed pages to work on small phone screens and when zoomed in.
  • Reviewed the site against WCAG 2.1 in September 2026 and made improvements based on what we found, including stronger color contrast for smaller text, review details and product labels, and easier keyboard selection of pack sizes.

Parts of the Site Run by Other Companies

Some features on our site come from trusted partners: customer reviews (Judge.me), email signup forms (Klaviyo), our Instagram feed (Elfsight), the store locator map (Stockist), subscriptions and rewards (Seal) and checkout (Shopify). We choose partners who take accessibility seriously, and we report problems to them when we find them, but we cannot fully control how their tools work. If any of these get in your way, please tell us and we will help you another way.

Known Limitations

A few small decorative animations, such as our rotating badges, keep moving and do not yet have their own pause button. They stop when your device's reduced motion setting is turned on. A few smaller issues sit inside partner tools, such as a link in the reviews summary, and we pass these on to those partners. If anything on the site is hard to use, please let us know.
